Exploring Building Energy Performance Prediction Using Graph Neural Networks
Biography
Agata Dalach holds a Master of Architecture from Gdansk University of Technology and an M.Sc. in Resource-Efficient and Sustainable Building from the Technical University of Munich. Her interests include building performance simulation, optimization, and surrogate modeling. At TUM Georg Nemetschek Institute, in collaboration with the Chair of Computational Modeling and Simulation, she explores the application of Artificial Intelligence, particularly Graph Neural Networks, to predict building energy performance and enhance sustainability through optimization strategies.

I am a PhD researcher in Architecture at the University of Strathclyde, focusing on vertical farming for wheat production in arid climates. My research integrates computational modeling, energy optimization, and intelligent farming systems to enhance food security in Algeria. With a background in architecture and sustainability, I have experience in project design, academic mentoring, and research on sustainable building practices. My goal is to develop resource-efficient agricultural solutions that bridge architecture, technology, and agriculture, creating scalable and sustainable food systems for extreme environments.

Lisa Baule is a Ph.D. student at the Technical University of Darmstadt. After her bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Media from the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and her master's in Visual Computing at the Technical University of Darmstadt, she started to work as a research assistant in the serious games research group in 2024.
Her fields of research are 3D city models, mixed reality, simulations, and human computer interaction.
