Vivien Volland is a research associate and PhD candidate at the Technical University of Darmstadt, in the Department of Geodesy for Geodetic Measurement Systems and Sensor Technology. Her research focuses on LIDAR laser scanning, 3D modeling within the BIM context, Scan-to-BIM, and exploring automation possibilities within these fields.

Biography

Ina Heise was born and grew up in Weimar, Germany. In 2013, she began studying civil engineering with a specialisation in structural engineering at the TU-Dresden, which she successfully completed after 5 years. After her studies, she worked 4 years as a graduate engineer in an engineering office in bridge construction, with a specialization on the use of BIM in the design of bridges. 2022 she joined the Chair of Computational Modeling and Simulation at TU Munich researching on a concept of Digital Twin for road infrastructure systems applying graph-based methods.

Dr Amanda (Mengqi) Huang is currently a lecturer in the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology. She received PhD from Monash University in 2022, where her research focused on establishing a BIM-enabled platform for underground construction, exploring multifaceted use cases, including geotechnical analysis, sustainability assessment and decision-making mechanisms.
