One of Professor Newburn’s nominators Professor Adam Crawford, said: “Tim is a genuine titan of British criminology whose wide-ranging and prolific work has influenced criminological research in diverse fields of crime control and policing as well as teaching, through his defining student texts and handbooks. His research always epitomises what many aspire to in terms of conceptual depth, empirical rigour and policy relevance.”
President of the BSC Professor Pamela Davies said: “Tim Newburn has long been, continues to and always will be, an inspiration to the criminological community around the globe.”
We hope you can come and join us we as raise a glass to celebrate Tim.
After this celebration we decamp across the street to our criminology party at the pub. Nowhere is Glasgow's special character more apparent than on a night out, where the mix of music, drinks and a good blether always make for a perfect evening together. Our conference ambassadors wil be there to help lead the way.
