  • Part three: The moment you’ve been waiting for! Sample 3 excellent Scotch Single Malts. You will learn how to properly nose and taste our whisky from your Clydeside guide.
  • Each guest will receive a dram glass gift on departure and a 5% discount from selected Clydeside Single Malt whiskies.

The Tall Ship Glenlee

Step aboard The Tall Ship Glenlee and discover a vessel whose peaceful berth on the River Clyde belies an extraordinary 129-year journey across the world’s oceans. Built on this very river, Glenlee has travelled thousands of miles, survived shifting tides of history, and carried generations of sailors through adventure, danger, and change.

Our guided tours bring her remarkable story to life. Explore the multiple layers of her past as you move through the ship’s evocative spaces:

  • A global cargo carrier during the high-risk years surrounding the First World War, braving some of the world’s most treacherous trade routes.
  • A platform for innovation in the 1920s, when she became a training ship and a catalyst for new maritime technologies.
  • A witness to political turmoil in mid-twentieth-century Spain, reshaped by conflict, adaptation, and resilience.
  • And finally, a triumphant return home, restored and cared for on the River Clyde almost a century after she first set sail.
